PERG is happy to announce the upcoming publication of the Digest of Fraud and Theft Prevention Measures, a document that leverages the collective knowledge of our industry and delivers it into the hands of rental houses—with input from insurance underwriters, law enforcement, security experts and rental houses. The document is informed by real-world, industry-specific evidence collected by RENTAL GUARD from 182 theft incidents over three years. PERG developed the Digest of Fraud and Theft Prevention Measures to share information with its members that they can use to identify security weaknesses, train rental house staff, and respond in the event equipment is stolen.

The Digest is to be rolled out in conjunction with a fund-raising effort to help ensure the future of RENTAL GUARD as an enduring industry resource. Details are to be announced at the General Membership Meeting at NAB on April 25th and emailed to our mailing list shortly thereafter.
