Local 600 is excited to host a panel with members of PERG as we explore how sustainable practices can be implemented starting with pre-production all the way through until we wrap. PGA Green issued a Call to Action Letter to our industry in October of 2021: “We must work together to accelerate our sustainable actions to reduce our carbon emissions by 50% by the year 2030.” In an effort to achieve this, we are excited to bring together industry leaders in sustainability to share their thoughts on ways we can reduce our carbon footprint. Gain insight into everyday practices that rental companies and the camera department can take to support Sustainable Production.

Motion Picture Film 101: Everything You Need to Know to Start Shooting Film Now

Celebrating 100 years of 16mm filmmaking, Kodak presents this practical motion picture film workshop to equip a new generation of artists with the knowledge they need to shoot on this still thriving and unmatched medium. Addressing the basics of film capture, the workshop will cover necessary steps to shoot on 16mm film, from selecting and ordering film stock to loading and exposing. The workshop will also offer basic information about film processing and post-production. Instructed by seasoned professionals, attendees will receive hands-on learning with Arriflex 416 cameras, including magazine loading, and a variety of useful informational materials.
Motion Picture Film 101: Everything You Need to Know About Analog Film Workflow

Filmmakers chose analog film to tell their stories and differentiate their work at every level of the creative spectrum. As supplement to the “Everything You Need to Know to Start Shooting Film NOW” 16mm workshop, or on its own, this program will walk participants through photochemical acquisition from start to finish. Presentations by lab technicians and post-production experts will offer detailed overview from film capture to delivery, including processing techniques, traditional photochemical film finishing, scanning, dailies and DI workflow. Designed for Producers, Directors, Cameramen, and Executives, you’ll learn everything you need to know to shoot your next project on film.
