Are you looking to hire an entry-level employee? Consider participating in PERG’s Equitable Workforce Initiative and receiving a grant that pays their salary for the first six months of their employment. Andrew Rodriguez, the Program Coordinator for is working hard to pair job seekers with participating rental companies so that we can award the remaining grants. So far, four member companies have made new hires under the program: Lux Lighting, a lighting rental company in New York; Rare Breeds, a boutique camera rental company in Los Angeles; Triode, a full service company providing lighting and camera rental, sound stages, crewing, and production support in Lancaster PA, and Birns & Sawyer, in Los Angeles.
In the 2022-2023 cycle, EWI is budgeted to award eight grants. Rental companies that may be interested should apply immediately. Your application does not commit you to anything, it only gets the ball rolling and posts your job listing. It starts the process of searching for the applicant that you decide to hire. We need your participation to make this program a success.
