On June 22-23, sixteen rental service technicians received two full days of maintenance education from ARRIs’ trainers as part of Filmscape’s Rental Days. The technicians learned parts replacement for SkyPanels and M-series HMI heads. The training is part of PERG’s ongoing partnership with Filmscape to provide training opportunities to rental companies at low cost. This year, most of the participating companies were from around the Chicago area, the writers’ strike having stalled all travel plans for rental companies outside the Midwest.
For several years now it has been the objective of PERG and Filmscape to build an annual training event for rental companies in Chicago, centered on the Filmscape trade show; however, the pandemic and now the strike have prevented those plans from seeing their full potential. We hope this training opportunity will have the ability to grow next year.
